Dissecting the Role of the Microenvironment in Follicular Lymphoma Transformation
Follicular lymphoma is a generally indolent cancer, but histologic transformation to a more aggressive histology such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is associated with poor outcomes. Transformation is associated with loss of the normal lymph node organizing architecture, but the precise molecular changes to the tumor microenvironment remain poorly understood. Here we applied single-cell RNA sequencing technologies on patients with indolent and transformed follicular lymphoma to identify transformation-associated signatures in the tumor, immune, and stromal microenvironment.
