The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Research Data Access Committee (Peter Mac DAC) manages requests for Peter Mac human research data that requires restricted access.
The Peter Mac DAC terms: - Data sharing will be only for the purposes of health/medical research, and within the constraints of the original consent. - Requestors should be employees or enrolled students of a recognised academic, health service, commercial research or pharmaceutical institution. - Requestors must be able to demonstrate their ability to carry out the proposed use of the requested data. - Requestors must not have a conflict of interest that may potentially influence their interpretation of any analyses. - Requestors will enter into a data transfer agreement with Peter Mac. - Data may only be transferred to the requestors specified in the data transfer agreement, and must not be passed on to third parties. - Supplied data must only be used for the purpose described in the research proposal and the data transfer agreement. - All data provided to requestors will be de-identified and identifying data will not be made available. - Requestors must agree not to link the data provided with any other dataset without the permission of Peter Mac.
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
