Access policy for human genome sequencing data of the Division of Biomedical Genetics of the UMC Utrecht
The procedure for requesting data access is as follows:1.Each application submits a formal request for accessing data to the DAC, comprising:a.a completed and signed copy of the Data Access Application Form (DAAF; Supplement II) has been providedb.a signed copy of the Data Access Agreement (DAA; Supplement III) has been provided, which defines the terms and conditions of using the dataset, such as how the data files should be stored once downloaded or details of publication embargoes that should be observed by the Data Steward2.Members of the DAC evaluate requests remotely, and provide their response by email. If necessary, the chair can call a physical meeting 3.Only unanimous voting results in acceptation of the request4.The Secretary of the DAC informs requesters about the decision5.Upon approval, the authorized DAC user grants the investigator access to the requested data set according to the DAA. 6.Personal email addresses (e.g. Hotmail, Google, etc) are not accepted for access to data. The application forms can be requested by email: ecuppen@umcutrecht.nl
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
